"The BSc in International Hospitality Management was an excellent platform to understand both business and practical sides of the hotel industry.

It offers an insight into a broad spectrum of topics with interactive lessons and practical lessons. It offers students to be creative and innovative in their approach to assignments and work.

I personally was fortunate enough to be one of few students ever to work at London's Five Star Dorchester Hotel in Mayfair as a Food & Beverage Trainee. The internship really starts to shape your career and starts a path for your career, it was an excellent learning curve and the ability to travel is excellent through the DIT network.

I currently am working within Rooms Division and Front Office at The Shelbourne, Dublin to expand my knowledge and would always recommend to students to aim high and settle only for the best as you take so much away from working in the busiest operations. DIT is an excellent start for any career in hospitality and I can say it from my experience."
