BSc (Hons) Physics with Biomedical Sciences (DCU)

I wanted to get into IT as it is a diverse and ever changing field.The skills that can be developed in IT are highly sought after and applicable to many roles. I enjoy the challenge of solving problems and the logic of the solutions. ESB has over 600 IT professionals working in the ITS department which supports more than 400 product applications, so I knew it would be an ideal place to start my career in IT.

ESB has a great reputation for supporting its employees. I like to think that I work hard so it’s great to be in a company that rewards hard work. Also, ESB is a long established and International company. I knew that there would be plenty of opportunities at my fingertips to pursue the career that I want.

While on the Graduate Development Programme I participated in the ESB Power Challenge. I have availed of discounted gym sessions and I have even played both football and tag rugby as part of ESB social teams.
