I had a strong interest in engineering during the Leaving Cert and I felt it was an interesting and exciting career path to pursue. Having completed an undergraduate placement with ESB during my Engineering degree, I got an insight into the brand and company. I felt it was an exciting company to work for, there is a good atmosphere day-to-day and great services provided for staff.

For me, the ESB Graduate development Programme was an obvious choice. One of the most enjoyable things for me as a Graduate Engineer in ESB is the scale of the projects I have been involved in and the level of responsibility that is placed on me.

I have been involved in a number of HV projects over the past three years with the most interesting probably being the brand new 220 kV GIS substation being installed in Kilpaddoge, Co. Kerry. I also was involved in transformer FATs which involved some overseas travel and were a great experience.
