New Bioengineering Careers
“I started my career with Biotechnology in DCU and today I oversee global vaccine manufacture with GSK. While at DCU I learned about biology, engineering and the hands-on, practical aspects of biomedicine. That has really stood to me going on to work with various pharmaceutical companies and now with GSK.
It means that when I make a decision in a meeting, I understand the technical aspects involved. That training and experience helps me make more informed decisions. One of the most recent developments I am proud of at GSK has been our meningitis B vaccine, which is used to protect infants, including babies in Ireland, from this potentially devastating disease.”
