HSE Launch Health Worker Recruitment Drive - Be on Call for Ireland

The Health Service Executive (HSE) has launched an appeal to healthcare workers from all disciplines who are not already working in the public health service to register their availability to be on call to try and tackle the Coronavirus outbreak.

The HSE is calling on available workers to 'be on call for Ireland’ as they look to increase bed capacity and facilities for COVID-19 patients. The recruitment call came with the message: 'Your country needs you.'

Those who have retired within the last five years will be eligible to return to work in the healthcare sector to try and combat the outbreak.

The recruitment drive is to fill a wide range of roles across the healthcare sector and Minister for Health, Simon Harris, is encouraging those who have worked part-time in the sector, student nurses and students in other relevant fields to come forward and offer their services.

Roles have not been strictly confined to the healthcare sector and the HSE is actively on the lookout for those with relevant skills to support the healthcare workers. Visit the Recruitment Drive FAQs by clicking here.
