The Le George Bernard Shaw will be berthed in Dún Laoghaire this Sunday, 7th July, as part of the Emergency Services Open Day events. The ship will be open to the public for guided tours by the ship’s crew from 11:00 to 16:00. Everyone is welcome to tour the ship and learn about life in the naval service.

Each year, the Irish Navy presents the Leading Seaman Robert O'Keeffe (RIP) Gunnery Student of the Year award to the overall best-performing student who has undertaken a Gunnery career course. The 2023 award was presented to Able Seaman Ellen Ward.

The 28 Infantry Battalion sniper pair completed the Danish Sniper Competition this week, with a credible 13th place overall, & 4th International Team. Beating out the likes of the Sniper School and Navy Seals from the USA as well as other world militaries.

Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Motor Mechanic, Construction plant Fitter, Agricultural Mechanics.
HETAC L7 Agricultural Mechanisation. Applicants must be 18 years and less than 29 years of age on date of application.
