Job Overview

The Civil Service Occupational Health Department (CSOHD) operates within the Office of the Civil Service Chief Medical Officer (CMO). The CMO’s Office is part of the Department of Public Expenditure NDP Delivery and Reform. The Occupational Health Nurse will have day-to-day responsibility for nurse lead pre-employment medicals, health surveillance, immunisations and health promotion initiatives. They also work collaboratively with Occupational Physicians on first line case management, including conducting both telephone and face to face consultations.

The Occupational Health Department is based in purpose built premises in Smithfield, Dublin. In addition, the service conducts regular nurse lead immunisation programmes in clinics in Greater Dublin/Leinster area. A panel will be formed from this competition to fill current and any future vacancies that may arise.

Job Overview

The Office of Public Works (OPW) is the lead agency in coordinating flood risk management policy and the flood relief capital programme in Ireland. OPW requires the assistance of Engineers Grade III (Mechanical) in the Mechanical Engineering Field Services (MEFS) Division of OPW to support the flood risk management programme. Vacancies currently exist in OPW’s Regional Headquarters in Newtown, Trim, Co. Meath. A panel will be formed from this competition to fill current and future vacancies which may arise in OPW’s Regional Offices in Galway, Limerick and Meath.

Reporting to an Engineer Grade II or Grade I, successful candidates will be involved in Fleet Management for OPW’s fleet of vehicles, plant and machinery, as well as in the development and implementation of Fleet & Plant Maintenance Systems.
