A significant milestone for the 8th Recruit Platoon of the 7th Infantry Battalion.
After months of dedication and hard work, the platoon completed their final march as recruits, conquering the challenging Foreman Aftman route. Naval Service

The Irish Naval Service had the pleasure of welcoming some very important guests to the Naval Base. 25 brave outpatients of Cork University Hospital joined us for a tour of the Naval Base as part of the "Gardaí for a Day".

These brave children were shown around LÉ GEORGE BERNARD SHAW, treated to a special lunch prepared by our naval chefs, and received a tour of the Operational Training Centre.

Cavalry Corps

A huge well done to the Irish Scout Team, who proudly represented Ireland at the prestigious Gainey Cup Scout Competition at Fort Benning, Georgia. Out of 18 highly skilled and competitive teams from around the world, our team placed an impressive 4th overall, a remarkable achievement on an international stage. The Gainey Cup is one of the most challenging and respected competitions for reconnaissance and scout teams, testing physical endurance, tactical skills, and teamwork under demanding conditions. The Irish team's performance is a testament to their dedication, professionalism, and exceptional training.
