28th Infantry Battalion
The 42nd 2–3-star platoon has now completed their defensive and offensive exercises over the last two weeks. These exercises included patrolling, observation points, close target reconnaissance, platoon-level attacks, an ambush, and insertions into the designated areas. They have completed 48 hours in a defensive position and 96 hours in an offensive position. They are now ready for their passing out ceremony on the 23rd of May, where they will become 3-star privates.

7th Infantry Battalion
Ray Goggins spent 17 years in the Army Ranger Wing, where he specialised in Hostage Rescue, Maritime Counter Terrorism, Combat Diving, and Intelligence Operations, gaining vast experience in high-pressure environments worldwide.
Earlier this week, he took the time to speak to Recruits from the 7th Infantry Battalion Reserve about High Performance, Leadership, Resilience, and Team Building.

Direct Entry Motor Technician Fitters
The Defence Forces are now accepting applications for Motor Technician Fitters, suitably qualified candidates must hold FAS/SOLAS or equivalent qualification in one of the following:
Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Motor Mechanic, Construction plant Fitter, Agricultural Mechanics.
HETAC L7 Agricultural Mechanisation. Applicants must be 18 years and less than 29 years of age on date of application.
