Superb opportunity for young people from across the country to join with the Teagasc Equine Specialists, Tiernan Gill & Philip Scott for a day spent evaluating conformation and athleticism traits and practising in-hand presentation.Tiernan is a well known as a producer of show horses but he also trades in show jumpers.

Philip is also well known on the show circuits; previously competed in eventing; and is an inspector with Horse Sport Ireland and the Connemara Pony Society. Both Tiernan and Philip have been involved in the young breeders programme since its inception and both are listed as international judges for World Championship competitions.

All young people aged 13-24 years on 1st of Jan 2018 are very welcome to attend;

Up to age 30 is acceptable though those aged  25 years plus on 1/1/18 will NOT be eligible for competition in 2019. If aged > 24 years on 1/1/18 please contact the organiser before booking your place.

Participants must bring a hard hat complying with standard PAS015, gloves and jodhpur boots or similar footwear to partake in in-hand discipline.
