The UCD School of Physics is hosting an online event for Transition Year (TY) students. This event is a great opportunity for TY students and for 5th and 6th Year secondary school students who are interested in learning more about Physics. During the event, research active members of the School of Physics will showcase, through “dazzle with wonder” short talks, some of the latest research in the following Physics areas:

• Medical Physics
• Quantum Physics
• Optics
• Atomic and Spectroscopy
• Physics and Astronomy & Space Science, which includes an update on the current status of EIRSAT-1, Ireland’s first satellite developed at UCD.

Bookings are now open to teachers, parents, guardians and students. A link to the Zoom webinar will be emailed to all registered teachers, parents, guardians and students a few days before the event. We recommend that parents or guardians book a place on behalf of a student.
