TU Dublin will host Session 2 of our “Maths Competency Test” (MCT) in September

This three-day event is specifically for applicants to the TU805 Engineering (General Entry) course, which requires a minimum grade of H4 in Higher Level Mathematics. 

The purpose of the MCT is to provide an alternative pathway for candidates to meet the mathematics entry requirement. Revision classes will be held on the first two days, followed by the exam on the third day. The test is designed to reflect the standard of the Leaving Certificate Higher Level Mathematics exam. Students who have studied Maths at this level are encouraged to participate. 

Key Dates:

  • Revision Sessions: Monday, 1st September & Tuesday, 2nd September 2025
  • Exam: Wednesday, 3rd September 2025
