GeoTopics 2026 will explore themes relevant to Geography and Biology teachers across the UK and Ireland. This free half‑day course offers teachers the chance to learn about current teaching practices and ongoing research at Ulster University. International experts will present case studies directly linked to Geography and Biology curricula.
Topics will include freshwater pollution, cold‑water corals, interactions between people and glaciers, migration, and opportunities for local fieldwork. The course is designed to save teachers time, provide fresh ideas and resources to bring back to the classroom, and—above all—support teachers in what we all aim to do: give pupils the best possible education in Geography and earth sciences. It also provides an excellent opportunity to network while earning a CPD certificate.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided for those attending in person at the Coleraine campus.
