LIT students participate in inaugural National Green Week

As part of the inaugural National Green Week, LIT Tipperary Green Week was organised by second year students from the Environmental and Geographical Sciences / Environmental Management in Agriculture courses, based at LIT’s Thurles campus. With the student and staff community studying and working remotely, students organised a variety of home/online Green Week activities on the theme of ‘Celebrating Diversity’, aimed at promoting wildlife-friendly actions in your garden and community with actions to help bees and other pollinators, along with activities on bird identification, feeding and nesting sites; and species recording.

LIT Environmental student, Eoin Gleeson also contributed to the National Green Week Student Panel on March 12^th, which showcased the actions and initiatives from students around the country.
