Kickstart your career in the exciting fast-paced world of Events Management

LC294 – Business Studies with Event Management at TUS Midwest is an Honours Bachelors of Arts that will appeal to students who wish to pursue a management career in the event industry. The programme is very collaborative incorporating event management, leadership skills, production and design and social media tools. It is a versatile course and skills gained can be practiced across all industries.

Students will develop the practical business know-how grounded in the event sector as this programme provides a broad introduction to event management principles and practice. 

The programme includes multiple opportunities for you to take action and engage with the industry, including organising your own event, industry practice and a substantial work placement in year 3. 

Entry Requirements:

A minimum of 2 H5 & 4 O6/H7 grades in 6 Leaving Certificate subjects, including Mathematics and English or Irish. 

Candidates applying as mature applicants may be required to attend an interview and may be requested to take an aptitude test to prove their suitability for a place on this programme.

 What You Will Study:

This is a four year course with a significant work placement in third year. The core subject that will be taught are Business Marketing & Management, Event Planning, Production and Design, Festivals and Events, Web Design and Implementation, Finance, HRM & Legal Environment for Business.
