New Programmes
SG145 – BA (Hons) Business & Information Communications Technology (ICT) This three-year honours degree integrates two disciplines to create unique graduates who are in high demand. Studying Business and Information Communications Technology (ICT) together will allow students to identify the role of information systems in business management and operations, and embed contemporary ICT systems to maximise productivity, efficiencies and success in a business. The modules on the course have been mapped to the Teaching Council of Ireland’s registration requirements for Business and ICT. Microsoft & Google Analytics accreditation opportunities exist.
SG348 – BA (Hons) Interior Architecture & Design This programme provides an internationally recognised level of interior education and training aligned with European Council of Interior Architects standard and best practice across Europe. Students are provided with a choice of three- or four-year options. The three core years provide discipline specific training while a fourth sandwich year offers students opportunities for work placements, study abroad, training for enterprise, or studies in another creative discipline.
BA (Hons) Law & Business – Coming Soon A three-year honours degree in Law and Business will be launched this year for September 2021 intake (subject to approval). This joint-major will be the only three-year honours degree programme in this field available within the northwest and midland region. The programme will open doors to a wide range of career opportunities as well as the provision of pathways into further study and education, including a pathway to a professional law qualification.#
SG341 – BEng (Hons) in Engineering Our suite of Level 8 Civil, Mechanical, Electronics and Self Driving Cars and Robotics and Automation all have common first year modules, giving the students a taste of each engineering discipline before committing to which area of engineering they wish to specialise in from Year Two.
BSc (Hons) Environmental Science with Ecology Environmental Science with Ecology equips students with the learning to manage our manmade and natural resources. With a mix of outdoor field work, high tech laboratory experiments, computer mapping, site visits and classroom activities, students gain a range of skills to become Environmental Scientists, Ecologists, Environmental Protection Officers.
These full-time undergraduate programmes through the CAO are delivered fully online, facilitating wider access education. All lectures are delivered live online and students can fully participate in group work and project work by means of innovative online supports. There is no requirement to attend campus
