COMPUTING SUMMER CAMPS
We've got some great summer camps taking place in June, run by ATU Sligo's Department of Computing & Electronic Engineering. There are three camps in total and more information can be found through the links below:
Higher and ordinary level Leaving Cert Maths students, alongside higher-level Junior Cert Maths students, can access free maths grinds here. Eva’s Maths Grinds has been produced by ATU Sligo Electronic and Computer Engineering lecturers Eva Murphy and Seán Mullery. Students have access to over 500 videos which work through previous exam paper questions.
ALTERNATIVE MATHS EXAM
Two alternative mathematics examinations (one set at honours level and one at ordinary level) will take place in Late August/Early September for applicants who did not get the required results in the Leaving Certificate to satisfy entry requirements on our programmes.
The purpose of these examinations is to provide applicants with a “second chance” opportunity to achieve the minimum mathematics entry requirements for their chosen ATU Sligo programmes. Both examinations will take place on campus in ATU Sligo. They will be 2.5 hour exams.
There are also comprehensive on-line resources available, including revision notes and sample papers to support students taking the examination in August. Students can register an account to access these free supports here
Exact dates and times are dependent on the Leaving Cert Examinations results issue. Please follow @atusligo social media channels for updated information.
