DCU Business School April Updates

DCU Business School was awarded the Athena Swan Ireland Bronze Award (until Nov. 2025). This award recognizes the School's commitment to 'advancing gender equality for staff and students'. As part of this application, the Business School has developed an ambitious gender equality action plan which will be implemented across the next four years and deliver on the University's ambitions to be a university where all can flourish.

Dr Brian Harney's paper, co-authored with former PhD student Dr Hadeel Alkhalaf, and published in Human Resource Management, is the HRM (FT Top 50, ABS 4) Top Cited Article 2020-2021.

Our MSc in Human Resource Management students had an International Study trip to Belgium in March. They visited the European Parliament, AB InBev, Semi-circle room, Menin Gate and even received a presentation in the European Parliament!

Business School alumna Ashley McDonnell, who has represented Paco Rabane, Carolina Herrera, and most recently Charlotte Tilbury at just 28 years old, has been named Chairperson for Digital Business Ireland, the representative body for online business.
