FET Course of the Week - Level 5 Sport & Leisure Management

This week’s FET Course of the week is Level 5 Sport  & Leisure Management in Monaghan Institute.

This course aims to provide learners with the practical skills and knowledge to instruct people in the sports, coaching and leisure industry.

This course has a lot of practical elements to it with learners completing:

• Fitness Instructing
• Fitness Testing
• Instruct exercise classes

All while completing national and international qualifications and gaining invaluable exposure to the leisure industry during work placement.

What are the Entry Requirements?

• Leaving Certificate with five O6 grades (or five passes pre 2017) or equivalent is the standard entry requirement for Level 5 courses
• Leaving Certificate Applied or QQI Level 4 Award are also acceptable

 This course leads to a QQI Major Award, and provides progression opportunities to a number of Higher Education courses including:

 Students partaking in this course will have the opportunity to do a six-month work placement.
