Monaghan Institute Business Graduates are Now Proudly Working in MI

During the month of January, our Advanced L6 IT & Business Management class were busy making important decisions on their degree or employment choices for next year. We were fortunate to welcome two past students, who graduated from the course in the past number of years, along to meet the current students. Graduates Claire Rushe and Claire Keenan have both pursued different pathways since completing their award in MI and so offered current students valuable help, advice and direction.

After graduating from the Advanced L6 IT & Business Management, Claire Rushe successfully completed a L8 Business degree by DkIT, where year 1 and 2 took place in Monaghan Institute, in 2020. Claire has recently secured a full-time position within Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board’s (CMETB) Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) Apprenticeships team based in Monaghan Institute.

Claire Keenan, after graduating from the Advanced L6 IT & Business Management, opted to progress directly into employment and in late 2020 secured a full-time role in Monaghan Institute, working in CMETB’s Training Services as administrator for their Traineeships courses.

Both graduates discussed the many benefits of completing the IT & Business Management course and feel that the skills developed gave them the confidence to progress to where they are today.
