Past student visits Monaghan Institute to speak with Level 6 Applied Social Studies Group

Laura Hagan studied Level 5 Nursing studies in Monaghan Institute before embarking on a career in Nursing. She studied and completed Mental Health Nursing in Letterkenny IT. Laura is now a CMN 3 (Clinical Nurse Manager) in the Central Mental Hospital in Dublin.

Laura is pictured here (3^rd from the right) with some of the Advanced Level 6 Applied Social Studies group. This group study a range of modules including Mental Health Awareness. Laura delivered a very impressive and thought-provoking talk on a range of Mental Health topics, including legislation, the role of the Mental Health Commission and the use of restraints to mention but a few. The students were enthralled by her talk and had many opportunities to engage and ask questions.

We were delighted that Laura could share her expertise and extremely informative session. It was appreciated by all and a great benefit to our students.
