Coral Leisure Staff Visits Monaghan Institute

Monaghan Institute Sports and Leisure Management students had the pleasure of welcoming Lewis Gibson and Ciarán Murtagh, who gave an inspirational talk on future career paths into the leisure industry.

Lewis is the gym manager of Coral Leisure Monaghan and discussed the potential of individual personal training businesses using the Coral gym and studio as their premises. In addition, he offered work placement and part-time work opportunities to students of MI.

Ciarán, who commenced his career by completing a QQI Sports award in Monaghan Institute, is an area manager for Coral Leisure (who currently have nine Centres nationwide). He progressed to Coral Leisure Monaghan during a work placement as part of his studies in MI and has worked his way up to a senior position in the company. He firmly believes that MI was the pivotal start of his career in the fitness industry.
