New All Female Tech Apprenticeship Commences in Liberties College

Posted on December 11, 2019

With over 12,000 jobs currently available in the tech sector, Liberties College, in conjunction with fit (FastTrack to Apprenticeship ), are very proud to have launched the All-Female Tech Apprenticeship in Software Development.

Referred to as I-FIT – Ireland’s Females in Technology, the first of its kind, this programme, which commenced on December 2nd last, is aimed at females residing in communities at the heart of Dublin’s “Silicon Dock”.

It is a 2-year programme which aims to equip local women with the technical skills and knowledge to carve out a successful career in a thriving industry.

As well as having the opportunity to learn as they earn, participants gain experience in a real-time technical environment and are based in companies such as LinkedIn, Microsoft, Accenture, ESB, and the Central Bank, to name but a few.

On successful completion of the Programme, qualified apprentices have the potential to progress into full-time positions with their employers.

It is envisaged that this Programme will provide a direct pathway to Apprenticeship for any females completing the Pre-Tech Apprenticeship in ICT Networking in Liberties College.
