Trinity Access Programme – Liberties College

Posted on May 28, 2020

Have your sixth year students applied for HEAR? I would like to bring the Trinity Access Foundation Course for Higher Education – Young Adults in Liberties College to their attention. This unique course allows for progression (on successful completion) to Arts and Social Science courses in Trinity College and could offer an alternative pathway to third level in Trinity College and other third level institutions.

Further, if your students have already applied for HEAR (Higher Education Access Route), they will be assessed for the six socio economic indicators by the CAO and will not need to send supporting financial documents to Liberties College, with their Foundation Course application. Instead, they will need to share the outcome of their HEAR assessment with us by forwarding the email received from HEAR/CAO, outlining whether or not they are eligible for HEAR. This will take place in the summer.

If your students have not applied for HEAR, and think they may be eligible, they should also consider applying. Ask them to check out the eligibility criteria, and start the process of compiling the socio-economic documentation required (details on our website). It’s also important to bring to your attention that students do not need to be living in Dublin to apply for our course, students from all over Ireland are eligible to apply.
