New Guinness Learning for Life programme to boost tourism and hospitality skills launched

Students from Liberties College have been immersing themselves in the tourism and hospitality industry as they participated in a bespoke Guinness Learning for Life Programme.

Hosted at the Guinness Storehouse, two cohorts of students participated in the weeklong wraparound programme, which provided the Tour Guide and Tourism students will additional training and skills to help them progress their careers with the field of tourism and hospitality. 

Throughout the week, students had an opportunity to delve into the tourism industry in Ireland, see behind the scenes of the Guinness Storehouse and Open Gate Brewery, experience an immersive whiskey session at Roe & Co and hear from some of Guinness’s leadership team.  

The bespoke programme was developed for the Liberties College students and in addition to supporting skills development, this programme will play a key role in supporting the industry’s economic recovery.
