Study Home Economics at St. Angela’s College

Posted on November 23, 2020 St. Angela’s College, Sligo are offer a BA in Home Economics which was launched in September 2019 (CAO Code: AS054). This four year, Level 8 Honours Degree is aimed at students with a passion for Home Economics and who are interested in developing a diverse range of knowledge and practical skills underpinned by the subjects three core disciplines: Food Studies; Textiles Fashion and Design; Family Resource Management. 

Students undertake a 20 week placement in Year 3 of the programme which will allow them to gain further valuable experience in their field. Graduates will find rewarding careers in both community setting such as Home Management Advisors and Early Years Inspectors, Child and Family Agency Section

Graduates may also find employment in industry such as Food Product Development, Food Advisors or Product (equipment) Testers.
