BCFE Student Helen O’Higgins Scoops Top Prize at the Irish BTEC Higher National Awards

The Irish BTEC Higher National Awards, a joint initiative between Pearson and partner colleges in Ireland, took place at the end of last year in Dublin to recognise and celebrate BTEC’s most outstanding Higher National Diploma Graduates.

The awards event recognises a wide number of sectors resulting in eight winners across Media Production, Arts & Design, Music, Sports, Performing Arts and Engineering.

Each student had a powerful and inspiring story behind hard work and vocational passion, but it was Helen O’Higgins a recent graduate of the Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design at Ballyfermot College of Further Education who not only won in her Graphic Design category, but also took home the overall title of ‘Ireland’s BTEC Higher National Student of the Year 2019’.

Congratulations to Helen and all the BCFE staff who teach on the Graphic Design programme.
