Congratulations to our graduate Mia Feeny who has been nominated for an Orange Award for her outstanding duties as a newly-qualified nurse on duty with the NHS during the Covid-crisis. Below is the message she received from the NHS.
“Congratulations Mia for being nominated for an Orange Award [who]…stepped up from being a student nurse to become part of the workforce to help NHS Grampian cope with Covid-19. Due to chronic staff shortages, Mia was the only qualified nurse on duty for the night-shift, thereby rendering her Nurse in Charge. The way Mia coped with this was in short awe-inspiring. It was a highly pressurised situation for her to be in but she didn’t throw in the towel and ensured all patients were cared for. Mia is truly a nurse of the highest calibre and well-deserving of this recognition.
Thank you Mia you are very much appreciated”.
