BCFE HND Business graduate awarded TUD Student of the Year
Dylan Robinson, graduate of the HND in Business progressed to TUD and was awarded Student of the Year in Batchelor of Business degree class 2022.
Dylan says:
BCFE’s Business Course and modules played an instrumental role in preparing and equipping me with the skills, knowledge and tools to be successful when I entered TUD. The catalyst of this preparation is the atmosphere, and environment within the college, but more importantly, the lecturers that teach and devise these modules. The care and commitment all lecturers and staff show for students such as myself, pushed me and motivated me to perform to my full potential during my time in the college, even at times when I was lacking self-belief. The commitment and belief they show in students such as myself motivated me to be successful when entering TUD, as I felt I owed it to not only myself, but also equally to them and the college.
Congrats Dylan from all of us in BCFE.

BCFE’s Foundation in Teaching Students and Traditional Irish Music Students visit Social History Museum at 14 Henrietta Street
BCFE students from the Pre-University Foundation in Teaching (ELT), with students from the Irish Traditional Music Performance and Traineeship in Instrument Making (PTH) visiting the social history museum, 14 Henrietta Street.
The visit to 14 Henrietta Street provided a poignant insight into the social, economic, and cultural life of Ireland through the stories of those who lived in one house over the past 300 years.
From the harrowing stories we learned of the dire consequences of repeated housing policies and accommodation crises over the past 300 years in Dublin. The tragic suffering and gross inequality, arising from colonialism, laissez faire economic policies and the absence of regulations governing building and accommodation, were all brought to life in the recently restored rooms and the narration of our tour guide.
