Entry requirements:

-        Leaving Certificate

-        Leaving Certificate Applied or LCVP

-        QQI Level 4 award

-        Mature students will also be considered even if they do not meet the above entry requirements.

Further study:

Graduates of this level 5 course in Applied Science - Forensics are eligible to apply to the first year of the BSc in General Science being delivered at Cavan Institute in partnership with Sligo IT. Students study year one of this degree programme at Cavan Institute and transfer to Sligo IT for years two and three.

Careers that graduates of this course will be eligible for include An Garda Síochána, the Defence Forces, the State Laboratory, the Forensic Science Laboratory, legal science or science in general.
