Hoping to return to or continue in education but afraid it might be too late to do so this academic year? At Crumlin College of Further Education, there are still limited places available on some of our courses. Ideally located on Crumlin Road, the college has been delivering quality educational services for 63 years and is within easy access of the City Centre. There is a network of Dublin Bus routes literally on its doorstep and the Red Luas line and rail services are   just a few minutes’ walk away. Students benefit from a quality educational experience. Small class sizes where student support and development is key to achieving results is all part of the ethos of the college.

The college offers a variety of courses to match a broad range of needs. With Schools of Hairdressing, Beauty, Fashion, Sports, Information Technology, Business & Accounting, Tourism, Catering, Sales & Administration, students can obtain accreditation at QQI Levels 5 and 6. Here is an overview of just some of the courses on offer:

Fashion

Fashion Buying and Merchandising:  This one-year course aims to introduce the student to the planning, buying and selling aspects of the ready-to-wear fashion industry. The course has a strong business orientation but also places a strong emphasis on the creative process of product development; from the inception of the range to manufacturing, through to fashion marketing and promotion. Students develop a keen understanding of the design elements of the fashion industry but also attain a firm grasp of the key aspects of the business environment of fashion buying & merchandising.

Fashion Design with Styling:  This one-year course introduces the student to the profession of fashion design and styling. A thorough exploration of costume history and contemporary fashion, in addition to technical skills in garment construction, promotes a strong design & styling ability. This rare combination of fashion theory and practical design and construction skills make this a unique and highly desirable course. Supplemented with makeup skills and the creation of a professional photo shoot, this course provides students with a firm skill base within this niche industry. Additional digital media skills prepare students for the digital arena of contemporary fashion blogging and promotion in today's fashion world. 

Computing

IT Sales & Digital Skills: This course aims to provide relevant and practical IT digital skills for students who wish to pursue a career in a range of IT areas.

Ebusiness with Computer Applications:This course offers prospective students an excellent opportunity to acquire and practice the cutting-edge eBusiness and ICT applications skills essential in today’s online commercial world.

Software Development and Mobile Apps:This course prepares students for a rewarding career in software development and mobile applications. The core aim of the course is to impart the expertise necessary to design, develop and maintain software.

Business

Business Management & Marketing This is a 2-year course geared towards providing the knowledge and personal skills required for a career in business. The course combines theoretical and practical knowledge and prepares the student for entry into the employment market or progression to degree courses.

Accounting

Accounting Technician & Information Systems:  This Course provides students with essential practical accounting and computer skills. Emphasis is placed on the practical capabilities necessary for any accounting department in a modern business. The course is suited to students with numerical ability and an interest in accounting and computers.
