Crumlin College of Further Education – Guiding you towards your Future

Crumlin College of Further Education is now accepting applications for all its full-time courses for the academic year 2023/24. Whether you’re anxiously awaiting your Leaving Certificate Results, planning to take a year out before proceeding to higher education, looking to return to education or hoping to upskill, there are a range of courses on offer which are sure to set you in the right direction towards your future. Ideally located on Crumlin Road, the college has been delivering quality educational services for 67 years and is within easy access of the City Centre. There is a network of Dublin Bus routes literally on its doorstep and the Red Luas line and rail services are just a few minutes’ walk away. Students benefit from a quality educational experience. Small class sizes where student support and development is key to achieving results is all part of the ethos of the college. Access to Further Education courses is available to all students who have successfully completed their Leaving Certificate or equivalent and is NOT CAO points based. Furthermore, all courses now have just a €50 registration fee, making Further Education an affordable way for you to get on the right path towards your future.

The college offers a variety of courses to match a broad range of needs. With Schools of Hairdressing, Beauty & Make-Up Artistry, Fashion, Fitness & Sports Therapy, Pre-Degree IT & Graphic Design, Accounting Business & Administration, Tourism & Hospitality and Culinary Arts, students can obtain accreditation at QQI Levels 5 and 6. Various courses offer additional accreditation by other awarding bodies including ATI, ITEC and CIDESCO. Information on all courses can be found at www.crumlincollege.ie.

Here is an overview of just some of the courses on offer:

Tourism with Business

This course combines a number of Business, Tourism and Event planning modules geared towards giving students the skills needed to pursue a career in a broad range of Tourism roles. Students who successfully complete the QQI Level 5 award may also further their studies by doing Year 2 – Management and Marketing in Tourism.

Sports Injury Prevention and Message Therapy

This QQI Level 5 course prepares students for a career in the Sports and Leisure industries. Combining theoretical and practical classes, it includes accreditation by both QQI and ITEC.

Fitness Instruction & Health Studies

This one-year course provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary for employment in the Health and Fitness industries. Accreditation is provided by both QQI and ITEC.

Business Studies with Sports and Fitness

This course combines business and fitness modules to provide successful graduates with a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Business as well as internationally recognised gym instruction qualification. Accreditation is provided by both QQI and ITEC.

Fitness Instruction & Personal Training (Year 2)

Students who successfully complete any of the above courses may proceed directly to this QQI Level 6 course. Combining Theory and practical classes with accreditation by both QQI and ITEC, successful graduates can progress to careers in the fitness, health and leisure industries. Applications for this course are also welcomed from any students who have successfully completed a QQI Level 5 course or equivalent.

Information Technology

Creative Media

This one-year QQI course equips students with a broad creative media skill set. Students may use this as a springboard to Higher Education courses or may enter into the employment market in the areas of Web Marketing and Web Design.

Advertising and Graphic Design

A one-year courses that combines drawing skills and the use of creative media applications that provides students with the necessary technical skills to either proceed to Higher Education or pursue a career in Advertising or Graphic Design.
