Crumlin College of Further Education – Accepting Applications for 2024/25 Academic Year

Spring is in the air and at Crumlin College of Further Education, we’re actively recruiting students onto our full-time courses for the next academic year. If continuing in or returning to education is your aim in 2024, there are plenty of course options on offer which are bound to put a spring in your step. With Schools of Hairdressing, Beauty, Fashion, Fitness & Sports Therapy, Information Technology, Business, Accounting & Administration, Tourism and Culinary Arts, there is something on offer to appeal to a broad range of potential career paths and progression routes. Here’s just a flavour of what you can choose from:

Sports Injury Prevention and Massage Therapy

This course is designed to provide the knowledge and practical skills required to work in the Sports & Leisure sectors. It consists of theoretical and practical training which enables students to work in Health Spas & Massage Therapy Clinics. Candidates who successfully complete the course will receive accreditation from both QQI and ITEC or alternatively may progress to the Level 6 course in Fitness Instruction and Personal Training.

Fitness Instruction & Health Studies

This QQI Level 5 course, with additional accreditation by ITEC, allows for progression onto the Level 6 Fitness Instruction & Personal Training Course at the college. Students are able to equip themselves with internationally recognised qualifications and can avail of employment opportunities in the fitness, health and leisure industries.

Business Studies with Sports & Fitness

This QQI Level 5 course combines business and sports modules thus allowing students progression on to a number of courses or provides them with the skills to advance to employment in a broad range of settings.

Spa and Health Facility Administration

This QQI Level 5 course combines business modules with specific practical therapy training. With additional internationally recognised accreditation by ITEC, this course is internationally recognised and prepares students for employment in a range of industries including Health Spas, leisure and wellness facilities.

Fitness Instruction & Personal Training (Year 2)

All of the above courses allow a progression route to this QQI Level 6 award. This course equips students with a broad range of skills for employment in the fitness industry. Applications are also welcome from students who have completed a QQI Level 5 or similar qualification and would like to enrol directly in the Level 6 programme.
