LCFE announce a new Pathways to Apprenticeship Initiative
Posted on April 1, 2020
LCFE is delighted to announce the launch of its “Pathways to Apprenticeships” programmes. Pathways to Apprenticeship is a new initiative offering a range of courses that you can take in advance of an apprenticeship. These courses offer essential skills designed to help you access and transition to a full apprenticeship. Similar in structure, pathways to apprenticeship courses are delivered in a blended combination of on-the-job employer-based training and off-the-job training in a Further Education and Training College.
The initiative will be available in the following four areas:
Hairdressing
Culinary Skills
Accounting
Construction
Pathways to Apprenticeship courses are linked to the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ). This ten-step fan diagram maps education and training in Ireland, so people can easily find out what level they are at. On successful completion of a Pathways to Apprenticeship course, learners are awarded a QQI Level 5 Major Award Certificate, which is recognised internationally.
