Two New pre-apprenticeship courses starting February 2020

Rathmines College has two new pre-apprenticeship courses starting on the 1st February.  

These courses are likely to attract students who started a course in September that did not suit them and are interested in a new challenge.

Business and Finance at QQI Level 5

The course covers Accounting, Law and Spread sheets as well as Work Experience in the first six months, the learners then complete a 12 week Work Experience, returning to complete Taxation, Business Management, Economics and Team Working.  Learners will have the opportunity to apply to begin an Apprenticeship in Accounting at the end of the year, where they will work four days a week and attend college on one day.

Software Development at QQI Level 5

The course covers Object Orientating Programming, Network Essentials and Operating Systems as well as Work Experience in the first six months, the learners then complete a 12 week Work Experience, return to complete Game Analysis, Software Architecture, Maths for IT as well as Communications.  Learners will have the opportunity to apply to begin an Apprenticeship in Software development, at the end of the year.
