Rathmines College Applications Open Now - New Courses and Repeat Leaving Cert
Rathmines College offering engaging new courses and over 30 existing QQI and Professional Accounting courses starting Sept ’23. The college also continue to run a Repeat Leaving Certificate one-year programme. Course fee for all courses just €50.
Rathmines College is getting ready for a busy academic year 2023-24 with new and well-established QQI courses in Accountancy, Arts and Social Science, Business and Marketing, English (ESOL) and IT, Legal Studies, Media, Office Administration and Software Development.
Come along to our daily Open Days in our Town Hall building from Wednesday, 30th August from 10.00 a.m. - 3.30 p.m.
Special features of courses for the coming academic year include:
- Office Administration – all courses are morning only, ideal for balancing family life or part time jobs.
- Accounting Technician Apprenticeship with Accounting Technicians Ireland (ATI) www.accountingtechniciansireland.ie – this two-year course allows for employment and study. Students work four days a week in an office environment, and study one day a week at Rathmines College. Students are paid a salary of at least €22,000 a year, and enjoy fully-funded college tuition fees.
Courses that are particularly popular for the academic year ahead are Pre-University Law, Digital News and Media alongside the choice of Business and Software Development courses. The academic future of Rathmines College students who complete the QQI Level 5 is bright as many will progress from QQI Level 5 to CAO place offers or the well-established QQI Level 6 Advanced Courses in the college in the areas of:
- Business
- News and Media
- Office Administration
- Software Development
Rathmines College offers excellent CAO progression options to colleges like TCD, UCD, TU Dublin, Maynooth and IADT. Our Guidance Team is on hand to help students in finding the right course to match their interests.
We also offer a selection of well-established QQI Advanced Level 6 courses in Business, Office Administration, News and Media and Software Development. Again, these are one-year full-time courses and are an excellent way to progress to 2nd year in many third level colleges, for example TU Dublin, IADT and NCI.
Repeat Leaving Certificate:
For over 40 years Rathmines College has offered a one-year Repeat Leaving Cert. Students benefit from great academic and pastoral attention. With the repeat course fee just €50 students and parents can rest assured they are getting the best value for money alongside excellent teaching knowledge and experience and college resources to secure high success rates for the Leaving Certificate in June 2024.
