DN230: Actuarial & Financial Studies at University College Dublin is a four year programme that will prepare students for a professional career as an actuary and financial industry.

If you have a passion for Higher Level Mathematics in the Leaving Certificate or at A-Level and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, this degree might be for you.

Students will learn about financial accounting, the process of recording, creating a summary of and reporting business transactions. Learners learn about Statisical modelling, the use of statistical assumptions and mathematical models to generate sample data and then predict the real world. Another modules is the "Introduction to Bayesian Analysis" and it delves into Bayesian statistics and conditional probability, employing Bayes' rule for these calculations.
