HE Course of the Week: CW128 Brewing Distillery at South East Technological University (SETU)

This four year fulltime course is the first undergraduate brewing and distilling degree in Ireland. It equips students with the necessary scientific knowledge and instrumentation competencies to work in the brewing and distilling industry.

What are the Entry Requirements?
This course will accept Any QQI Level 5 or 6 Major Award as an entry requirement. For Leaving Cert entry, the minimum subjects requirements are 2 H5 & 4 O6/, O6/H7 in English and Irish, and an O6/H7 in Maths.

What are the Course and Career Progression Options?

Graduates will be skilled brewing and distilling experts and will gain employment in a variety of roles in the brewing and distilling industries including production, laboratory and technical work, quality assurance or product development, in large or small scale breweries or distilleries. Graduates may even start their own company. Skills can be used globally so there are endless international opportunities.

Graduates can also progress to MSc and PhD courses at SETU - South East Technological Universityor other third level Institutes or research centres.
