IADT - 1916 Bursary Applications Now Open

Posted on September 14, 2021
IADT is delighted to invite applications for the 1916 Bursary. The purpose of this bursary is to encourage participation and success by students who are most socio-economically disadvantaged and who are from groups most under-represented in higher educations.

Applications for the 1916 Bursary Fund 2021-2022 will open on the 13th September until Friday 15 October 2021, 5pm. Late applications will not be considered.

The 1916 Bursary is funded by the Department of Education and Skills and administered by UCD on behalf of the Institute.

What’s the value of the 1916 Bursary?

There are three different types of bursaries available:

  • Tier 1: €5,000 per year
  • Tier 2: €2,000 per year
  • Tier 3: Awardees will receive a once-off bursary of €1,500 for the academic year 2021-22 only. This applies to both full and part-time students.

Tier 1 and Tier 2 bursaries will be also payable to students as they progress into postgraduate studies. This means that students already in receipt of the 1916 Bursary who are completing their undergraduate studies in 2020/21 will be entitled to continue to receive a bursary for postgraduate study.
