Leaving Cert Lecture Series Carlow College
Carlow College are delighted to announced our new “Leaving Cert Lecture Series”. Designed to support both 6th-year students and their teachers, this new lecture series offers a unique opportunity to explore key areas of theLeaving Cert syllabus in greater depth. Through a range of interactive and expert-led online lectures, students will enhance their understanding of critical subjects, gaining valuable insights and academic enrichment beyond the classroom.
Lectures are FREE, but registration is essential.
- 21st October 2024 English (Poetry) with Dr Derek Coyle
- 11th November 2024 History (European) with Dr Ida Milne
- 2nd December 2024 English (Drama) with Dr James Heaney
- 20th January 2025 Classical Studies with Dr Noel Kavanagh
- 10th February 2025 Politics & Society with Steph Hanlon
- 3rd March 2025 English (Novel) with Karmel Knipprath
- 24th March 2025 History (Irish) with Dr Elaine Callinan
- 7th April 2025 Religious Education with Michael Sherman
Each lecture will be held at 2pm on the specified date and run for 45 minutes plus 10 minutes Q&A time. All lectures will be livestreamed and recorded for watching back at a later date.
