The new BA in Anthropology in UCC is an interdisciplinary programme providing a strong foundation in the fields of Archaeology and Sociology, as well as broad exposure to related disciplines. Anthropologists are trained to research and analyse different aspects of the human condition and as such are suited to a wide range of careers. The International Pathway gives students the opportunity to study abroad for a year. Standard requirements of English, Irish and another language. Mature and QQI places available.
This 4-year BEd will qualify graduates as teachers of Irish and a second subject from French, Spanish, German, Italian and Mathematical Studies. Students will spend one semester studying in the Gaeltacht and students who take a second language will also spend an Erasmus semester abroad. Teaching placements take place in Years 2,3 and 4. Entry requirements are English, H3 in Irish, and another language. Min H4 in Maths if student takes Math Studies as second subject. Other specific language requirements if student chooses non-beginners German, Spanish or Italian. H3 required for French if student wishes to select it.
