Course of the Week: CK213 – BSc (Hons) Food Marketing & Entrepreneurship at UCC

CK213 BSc (Hons) Food Marketing and Entrepreneurship is a course at University College Cork through which you can develop the skills needed to work within the fast-moving food industry. Students will learn gain practical experience and put theory into practice through a 6 month work placements, group and individual group projects.It offers a unique combination of business and science through the application of business concepts and food science to support business excellence. You will be prepared for a career in the food industry and other sectors such as marketing and advertising and business management.
The course is designed to consider the challenges faced by businesses and expose students to the concepts and theories that explain how the business world operates.
Students will learn skills of decision-making, innovation, enterprise, knowledge management and business development. Some of the modules you will be studying:
- Introduction to Food Marketing
- Introduction to Food Supply Chain
- Financial Accounting
- Food Sustainability
- Digital Food Marketing and Branding
- Food Market Research Methods
- Fundamentals of Food Packaging

Leaving Cert Entry Requirements (I would put this as title and then the CAO points, followed by entry requirements)
2022 - 434 points
Students are required to have two H5 and four O6/H7 in 6 subjects. O6/H7 in English, O6/H7 in Irish, O6/H7 in any other language and O6/H7 in Maths.
Full Major Awards from the following PLC courses codes may also be used for entry based on certain criteria.
