WIT is constantly reviewing the content of the courses we deliver to make sure they are up to date and in line with industry needs and trends.

Theory and practical balance

The new Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Early Childhood Care and Education is a new 4-year programme with increased work placement and will replace the BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies.

The new course is very much linked to industry and combines the academic educational environment with hands-on experience.

Increased engineering options

Automation is a huge area across all areas of engineering and manufacturing and the Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Automation Engineering is a new degree option being offered to CAO applicants who choose to study Engineering (Common Entry). This will bring the total number of specialisms available under common entry engineering –which gives students time to choose – to five.

Mixing business and technology

Students of a new degree in Business Information Systems will graduate with a thorough knowledge of new technologies, business knowledge, communication skills and experience as BIS professionals to drive digital transformation across all industries, nationally and internationally. Additional courses And that’s not all.

WIT is continually updating and reviewing its portfolio. Recent HCI government funding will enable the development and implementation of a new and unique degree programme in Additive Manufacturing in the School of Engineering.
