Participation in the online camp is structured using a fusion of presentations, 3rd level student experiences, design thinking and prototype development. The NUI Galway course will focus on developing an innovation solution to help combat climate change.
The 4 day camp is for 4 hrs per day for students and is free to attend. Students must be in transition year and the senior cycle of 2nd level education. The camp begins each day at 10:00 am and will finish at 3:00 pm.
During the camp students will be placed in teams of 5, identify a climate related problem, develop and video pitch their own solution. The winning video will receive a new IPad (8th Generation).
The camp will be delivered by LaunchPad, BioInnovate Ireland and NUI Galway students.
Students can apply as a team of 5 or individually. The camp is generously funded by the Higher Education Authority and is open to Transition Year and Senior Cycle Students only. Students can register as a team of 5 or individually.
