Science Week at MU

The #ScienceWeek #MaynoothUniversity events continue to be wide-ranging and really interesting including:

• The Wonderful World of Soapy Surfaces talk and demo by Dr Mark Walsh from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics - 4179 pupils from 172 schools logging on!
• An Irish origin of Modern Computers: Investigating the Work and Life of Percy Ludgate (1883-1922) - Professor Brian Randell
• #FutureIsland on RTÉ1 where we met TIAgoRobot - an exciting collaboration between MU Electronic Engineering and Computer Science Departments. TIAGo robot combines perception, navigation, manipulation & Human-Robot Interaction skills out of the box!
