MU sets new record in CAO first preference applications

Maynooth University has recorded its highest ever rate of CAO first preference applications, exceeding last year’s record, according to new Central Applications Office figures.
The record number for 2024 is part of an upward trend in first preference applications and reflects MU’s increasing popularity as a university of choice.
This year the University has seen a rise of 7% in first preference applications, underscoring Maynooth's innovative curriculum offering students the choice to progressively specialise while pursuing a broad range of studies.

Commenting on the figures, Prof Eeva Leinonen, President of Maynooth University, said: “Today's CAO figures confirm the quality of education we provide at Maynooth University.
