Forensic Science at Dundrum CFE

Aim

The aim of this course is develop knowledge and skills in order to pursue an entry level career or further study in the area of Forensics Science.

Forensics Science is the application of science to criminal and civil laws, during criminal investigation, as governed by the legal standards of admissible evidence and criminal procedure. Career opportunities include employment in laboratories in a variety of sectors from forensics, environmental, pharmaceutical and food industries.

Students who complete the course will have gained a skill set that could lead to employment in entry level vocational positions.

Entry Requirements          

  • Leaving Cert/Leaving Cert Applied or its equivalent. 
  • For mature students, work experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
