Open Training College (OTC) – providing eLearning Solutions for the Human Services/Nonprofit Sector
The Open Training College (OTC) has been providing education and training for staff and managers throughout Ireland in the field of social care, disability and the wider non-profit/human services sectors, since 1992. The OTC team, with their extensive first-line experience, is here to help people to acquire the knowledge and skills they need to deliver better services at this challenging time.
The College offers a range of courses from key essentials skills online training providing OTC Certificates of Completion, QQI approved CPD short courses at Levels 5 through to 8, and professional courses of one year or more from Level 5 up to the Honours BA degree in Contemporary Disability Studies at Level 8. Students have options to acquire qualifications on a part-time basis through elearning, one to one tutorials, skills seminars and many more resources supported by our virtual learning environment.
The College is unique in that all its courses are designed and structured specially to meet the needs of staff working in the area of disability or the wider non-profit sector, enabling them to acquire new skills and keep up to date with international best practice.

- Focus on the Individual – Person Centred Planning (QQI Level 6)
- Training and Development (QQI Level 6 Special Purpose Award)
- Certificate in Supported Employment (QQI Level 7 Special Purpose Award)
