Lights, Camera, Action! If you have a passion for film and a desire to bring your creative visions to life, look no further than the BA (Hons) Film & Creative Media at Dublin Business School. This programme is a gateway to a world of photography and video production, where you'll learn the art of capturing captivating visuals and telling compelling stories. From cinematography and editing to directing and screenwriting, you'll acquire the skills needed to excel in the exciting world of film and media.

During this full time three year programme students are taught professional practices and applications required to work successfully within creative industries. There is a big focus on media production skills such as photography and video production and how these means of creating can be used to tell a story. Learners develop proficient production skills as well as the skills to critically analyse films and creative media.

There is also a focus on consumption and the history, values, ideology and theory of moving image and students are encouraged to research new and emerging media.

Students will be connected to a vast network of artist, producers and practitioners within the industry.

Entry Requirements:

As of 2022, the points required for this course are 243. This is subject to change so please keep an eye on the university website for the most up to date information. Applicants will need a minimum of 2 H5 and 4 O6/H7 to be eligible and O6//H7 in English or Irish or Any Other Language.

Progression:

Some students go on to postgraduate courses in Trinity College Dublin, ATU Galway, University College London and Filmbase. Some students have taken on employment as film critics, directors, producers and scriptwriters and others have set up their own production companies.
