Hibernia College Launch New BSc in General Nursing

Hibernia College, who specialise in providing blended learning solutions, have just announced that they will begin offering a new BSc in General Nursing, with the first cohort starting in February 2022.
The course was developed in partnership with Hibernia’s clinical partners and course content will include video and audio clips/podcasts, journal articles and book chapters, interactive learning activities and quizzes, regular tutor and teaching webinars and moderated discussion forums.
Assessment will include academic writing, including essays, projects and care plans; group projects and presentations; and a limited number of examinations, all of which create a Personal Professional Portfolio through the programme.
Professional accreditation for this new degree will be awarded by the Irish Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) for entry onto the General Register of Nurses.
Applications for this exciting new degree option, the first of its kind in Ireland, opened July 20th.
Application is an online process that will require documentation regarding Health, Garda Vetting etc.
Eligible applicants will then be invited to an Aptitude Test which will have a focus on numeracy, literacy and problem solving.
The top applicants after the aptitude test will then be invited to Interview.

Applicants presenting one of these nursing-related Level 5 qualifications
A significant proportion of places on this programme will be reserved for applicants holding relevant pre-nursing qualifications and mature applicants.
